Kiyaga Jackson is a Finance and Accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in the Banking, Commercial and Civil Society sectors.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, a Post Graduate Diploma in Auditing and Banking from Central Institute of Management, India, a Diploma in Co-operatives and Business Administration from Uganda Cooperative College and a Certificate in Practical Training in Accountancy and Payroll from PTAP London.
Over the years, he has successfully established and led various organisations’ finance departments, achieving notable milestones in managing and motivating teams to achieve positive results. In the private sector, he has held supervisory and managerial roles at ABC Capital Bank Ltd, Finance Trust Bank Ltd and worked as an Accountant at Phillips Kobbs & Co, an Audit Firm in Canada Water, London, among others.
In the Civil sector, he has worked as a Finance Manager for the Center for Health Human Rights and Development (CEHURD) from 2016 to 2021, where he transitioned to Afya na Haki (Ahaki) in 2022 as a Finance Manager. He has overseen the financial management of sizeable projects funded by, among others, SIDA, USAID, IDLO etc. He has spearheaded external audit processes for projects and institutions successfully, established compliance and internal controls, and was involved in developing Finance and Procurement Policies, Manuals, and frameworks.
Motivated by excellence, he has broadened his interests to include grants and project management, programmatic development, and leadership. He is continuously evolving to contribute to grant planning and development, finance processes and quality improvement and apprentice mentorship of junior staff.
