Monalisa is a vaccinologist and pharmacist with a Master’s in Vaccinology and Drug Development from the University of Siena, Institute for Global Health, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Malawi, College of Medicine now known as Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.

She has over 9 years of experience working in the Malawian health sector in both private and public health facilities. In the past 3 years, she has been involved in health research majoring in Antimicrobial Resistance, Vaccine Access, Hesitancy, and Safety in Africa.

“My dream is to see quality health products and services across Africa, made by Africans for Africans, and as a fellow at Afya na Haki, I look forward to advocating for quality health services in Africa by generating evidence that will help to shape policy frameworks and positively impact the manufacturing of DVTs in the continent.”
