Mpungu Paul is an experienced Accountant proficient in establishing effective internal accounting processes and procedures, Budget creation, forecasting and Analysis, complex expense reporting and reconciliations. He handles detailed-oriented work in a methodical and organised fashion, leveraging field expertise, resourcefulness and diligence to positively impact the organisation’s operations.

He holds a post-graduate diploma in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Kyambogo University, a Certificate in Fraud, Risk and Internal Control Systems from Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services, and CPA – Uganda Level II.

He has managed accounting and finance activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies and external audits. He has maintained financial records and ensured proper recording of operations required for the financial workflow. He has prepared month-end reconciliations, including but not limited to recording transactions, creating reports, tracking incomes, and checking expense figures for accuracy and legitimacy. He analysed the viability of establishing a more efficient accounting process to ensure the effective execution of financial functions.

Along his career path, he has served in various positions and roles. He has served as a Finance and Operations Officer at JAS Microfinance Ltd, Branch Accountant at Tujijenge Financial Services Ltd, a Production Assistant Manager in charge of operations at Kyagalanyi Coffee Ltd. In his current position as a Finance Officer at Afya na Haki, he focuses on monitoring the status of transactions and coding structures to ensure alignment with the organisation’s policies and guidelines.
