Mr. Muhumuza Abdulkharim is a programming and partnerships enthusiast. He is currently the Head of Partnerships and Communications at Afya na Haki (Ahaki). He coordinates partnerships, collaborations, communications and networks at national, regional and international level. He is also a health and Human Rights advocate.

Muhumuza holds a master’s degree in public health from Clarke International University (CIU), a bachelor’s degree in environmental management from Kampala International University (KIU), a certificate in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, HIV, TB and Human Rights Advocacy and Training in Southern and East Africa by ARASA-Johannesburg and a certificate in Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington.

Muhumuza has over 8 years wide-ranging experience in programming and project management, building and managing strategic partnerships and networks, health policy advocacy, lobbying and campaigning, community empowerment, training and leadership, research and documentation, fundraising, public relations, strategic communications, team building and coordination, computer literacy and strategy and organizational development.

He has trained Community Based Organizations, National level Civil Society Organizations and policy makers on health policy advocacy; supportive supervision and monitoring, coordinated and worked with a number of partnerships, coalitions and networks at national, regional and international level. He has also led and contributed to a number of research processes and consultancies, undertaken legal and policy analyses, advocacy strategy and strategic plan development
